Courtesy of GloPress JUNIOR PARLIAMENT OF ZIMBABWE OFFICIALLY OPENED The 34th Session of the Junior Parliament of Zimbabwe was officially opened on Wednesday 08 July 2026 at the New Parliament Building, Mt Hampden. Guest of Honour, H.E President Dr E.D. Mnangagwa presided over the ceremony themed "Ensuring universal access to water, sanitation, and hygiene for every child in Africa". Key highlights: - Tinashe Mugodhi from St Mary's High School, Harare Province was elected Child President for 2026-2027. - Coline Mutepfa, Manicaland Province and Kundi P. Chimbuya, Midlands Province were elected Vice Presidents. - Tarirana Prince Marley, Masvingo Province was elected Speaker of Parliament. - President Mnangagwa also handed over Starlink kits to Junior Parliament members to support digital learning and participation.
