Intrusive thoughts....
Something is broken.
Global Truths....
- Globally, women's football sponsorship grew 53% in three years.
- Women's elite sports revenue is projected to hit $3 billion in 2026.
- Serie A Femminile alone saw a 600% jump in commercial deals.
The money is everywhere except where it's needed most.
Our league is still fighting for basics. A three-month deal here, a rebrand there, players carrying the game on their own backs between cheques.
That's not a funding gap it's a model failure. Traditional sponsorship treats women's football as a smaller, cheaper version of the men's game: pay less, expect a logo, walk away when the "brand awareness" numbers don't excite the board.
That model was never built to work for us, and it hasn't.
What actually works elsewhere isn't charity, it's partnership brands embedded in building the audience, not just renting space on a shirt. Data sharing. Co-created content. Investment tied to growth, not a one-off invoice.
If you're a brand looking at ZWPSL and only seeing a badge to slap your name on, we're not the right fit. If you're looking to build something with genuine upside as this game grows in Zimbabwe and across Africa, we're exactly the right fit.
We're not asking for a handout. We're offering a stake.
