Hwange Local Board Ward 10 Councillor Samuel "Barrakki" Tshuma joined pupils, teachers, parents and other stakeholders at Mabinga Primary School in commemorating the Day of the African Child, a day dedicated to reflecting on the rights, welfare and development of children across the continent. The commemorations provided an opportunity to celebrate the achievements of children while also highlighting the importance of ensuring access to quality education, healthcare, protection and equal opportunities for every child. Learners participated in various activities and presentations that underscored the significance of the day and the role of communities in nurturing the next generation. Adding colour and excitement to the event was Hwange's premier arts ensemble, Shangano Arts, whose captivating performances entertained attendees while conveying important messages on children's rights, education and cultural identity.
