Powerful Gathering of Women Leaders Hosted by Ruvheneko Parirenyatwa Leaves Lasting Impact
Harare, Zimbabwe — Some rooms leave you inspired. Some rooms leave you grateful. This past weekend’s gathering did both.
Hosted by renowned broadcaster Ruvheneko Parirenyatwa, the event brought together remarkable women from across Africa and the diaspora for a day of honest conversation, healing, and empowerment. Attendees flew in from Zambia, Kenya, Uganda, South Africa, Nigeria, Dubai, the UK, and the USA to be part of the experience in Zimbabwe.
"To stand before a room of remarkable women and help steward conversations that matter was an honour," Ruvheneko shared in her reflections after the event. She extended gratitude to Nyenge and Aunt Pet for the trust placed in her to lead the weekend.
The speaker lineup was described as phenomenal, powerful, professional and deeply inspiring. The highlight for many was the presence of Guest of Honour Mrs. Tsitsi Masiyiwa, whose wisdom, authenticity, and conviction left the room visibly moved.
"What a woman. Your wisdom, authenticity and conviction left the entire room richer. Thank you for pouring so generously into us," Ruvheneko said.
Organizers noted that the energy in the room transformed the day from a standard event into something far deeper.
"To every woman who attended: your energy, vulnerability, grace and honesty transformed the day from an event into an experience!"
The message closed with a note of encouragement for women everywhere:
"And to every woman reading this—healing while having to show up, grieving while having to love, building while quietly breaking inside—keep going. God is not done. "
The weekend has already sparked conversations online about the need for more spaces where African women can lead, heal, and build together.
