Waste Receptacles Distributed at Laings Business Centre
As part of ongoing efforts to promote environmental cleanliness and improve waste management practices, Runde Rural District Council has distributed waste receptacles at Laings Business Centre.
The receptacles, provided by Council, are intended to enhance proper waste disposal and help maintain a cleaner, healthier, and more attractive environment for businesses, residents, and visitors.
Council encourages all stakeholders to make responsible use of the receptacles and to work together in keeping public spaces clean and free from litter.

Ward 18 Communities Empowered on Veld Fire Prevention
As part of ongoing efforts to combat veld fires across the district, a fire awareness programme was successfully held yesterday in Ward 18, covering Oreti Primary School, Runyararo Village, Magarasadza Village, and Chimurenga Village.
The outreach programme brought together learners, community members, and local leaders to discuss practical ways of reducing fire incidents during the fire season. Emphasis was placed on the importance of community vigilance, proper fireguard maintenance, and collective responsibility in protecting lives, property, and natural resources.
Through such engagements, communities are being equipped with knowledge and skills to become active participants in preventing veld fires and safeguarding their environment.

Runde Rural District Council is pleased to announce the successful completion of the superstructure brickwork for the new classroom block at Matenda Primary School.
This important milestone marks significant progress towards the completion of a modern learning facility that will provide a safe, spacious, and conducive environment for teaching and learning. The project continues to demonstrate Council's commitment to improving educational infrastructure and enhancing access to quality education across the district.
Construction works will now progress to the next phase as we move steadily towards project completion.
