Hurungwe Rural District Council successfully launched the handover of Communal Lands Occupation certificates at Karambazungu Business Centre in Ward 16 on 11 May 2026.
This milestone recognizes and protects residents’ land use rights, helping to reduce disputes and uncertainty over boundaries and ownership claims.

The certificates strengthen community security, encourage responsible land administration, and promote orderly development. With documented land access, households can confidently invest in farming, housing improvements, and income-generating projects, leading to improved livelihoods and sustainable growth across Hurungwe.
