Marondera RDC is located in Mashonaland East Province. It shares boundary with Seke to the west, Hwedza to the south, Makoni to the east (Manicaland), and Murewa to the north. The district is found approximately 72 kilometers away from Harare in the eastern direction. Marondera District covers approximately, 3,4141km which boasts of its agriculture and mining economy. The district serves 37,361 households with an average size of 3.6.

The appropriate climatic conditions, areas of natural and undisturbed woodland, perennial river systems, home to terrific archaeological sites as well as cultural and religious heritage sites enhances tourism investment.
