Located in the heart of south-eastern Zimbabwe, Chipinge Rural District Council (RDC) is a vibrant and diverse community predominantly inhabited by the Ndau people, with the Shangani community residing in the district’s southern tip. Chipinge District is home to 375,259 residents, 54% of whom are women a reflection of its strong and dynamic population base.

The district is well known for its rich agricultural landscape, featuring both large-scale commercial farms.

Governance in Chipinge has evolved significantly over the years. Today, Chipinge RDC governs the entire district, including Chipinge Town, which operates under a Town Board.

With its blend of agricultural productivity, cultural diversity, and progressive governance, Chipinge RDC continues to drive inclusive rural development and sustainable growth across the district.
