Join the Market Makers Consumer Co-op: Empower Women, Empower MSMEs, Earn Commissions

Your invitation to become a Market Maker on allWomen.africa

What is Market Makers & why it matters

The Market Makers Consumer Co-op is a women-led cooperative initiative hosted on the allWomen Africa platform (allwomen.africa/app/groups/mmakers). It invites women to become Market Makers — active members who introduce micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) to the allWomen marketplace and earn a commission on sales generated by those MSMEs they bring in.

Here’s how it works in a nutshell:

  • You join as a Member of MMakers.

  • You identify and onboard MSMEs (owned by women, or supporting women-led businesses) into the allWomen marketplace.

  • When those MSMEs sell their products or services on the platform, you receive a commission (in effect you become a referral partner / introducer).

  • The more MSMEs you introduce, the more potential sales, the more commissions — and the more you contribute to a closed-loop cooperative market of women supporting women.

Why join MMakers? The benefits for you

1. Income opportunity through commission

As a Market Maker you earn from the sales of MSMEs you bring into the marketplace. This is a real earnings stream — you are incentivised to identify high-potential women-led businesses and help them succeed. The model rewards your efforts directly.

2. Empowering women-led MSMEs

By introducing MSMEs you are not only building your own income, but you are helping women entrepreneurs gain access to a dedicated marketplace, gain visibility, and increase sales. You become a catalyst for their growth.

3. Part of a cooperative ecosystem

Because allWomen Africa is built around cooperative principles (women supporting women, collective strength, digital inclusion) you become part of a community, not just a marketplace. Your role as Market Maker anchors you in this community of purpose.

4. Scaling your impact

The model is scalable: you introduce one MSME, then another, and you build a network of participating businesses whose growth amplifies your income and influence. The more you put in, the more you (and the network) benefit.

5. Access to women-centric digital infrastructure

AllWomen Africa offers tools and services tailored for MSMEs, cooperatives and women entrepreneurs: digital payments (via “Purse”), merchant services, digital marketplace, training and connectivity. allWomen.africa As a Market Maker you tap into this infrastructure.

How the MMakers Consumer Co-op works — step by step

  1. Sign up: You join the MMakers group on allWomen Africa (via the link: allwomen.africa/app/groups/mmakers).

  2. Onboard MSMEs: You identify women-led MSMEs (in your network, community, or region) who would benefit from listing their product or service on the allWomen marketplace. You invite them, assist them to register, and you become their introducer.

  3. MSME lists and sells: The MSME sets up its listing on the platform, markets via the digital tools, and begins to sell to the allWomen community (which already has women, cooperatives, and networks engaged).

  4. Commission flows to you: As an introducer, you receive a commission or share of the sales generated by your referred MSME (terms of commission defined by the MMakers co-op and allWomen platform).

  5. Build your network: You repeat the process: introduce more MSMEs, track their performance, support their growth. The more MSMEs you bring in and the more sales they generate, the more your income grows.

  6. Community and support: As a Market Maker you also participate in the MMakers group: share best practices, support each other, attend training, access cooperative benefits and the digital ecosystem of allWomen Africa.

What kind of MSMEs are ideal?

The ideal MSMEs for this model are:

  • Owned or led by women entrepreneurs (or supportive of women-led value chains).

  • Offering products or services that can be marketed via a digital marketplace (physical goods, digital goods, services, training, crafts, etc.).

  • Ready to use digital tools for listing, payment, fulfillment and marketing.

  • Willing to collaborate with you as introducer, and commit to growing their sales via the allWomen network.

What you bring as a Market Maker

  • Your network: contacts of women entrepreneurs, MSMEs in your community, neighbourhood, social media, church, cooperative, etc.

  • Your commitment: to engage with those MSMEs, assist their listing, help them present their products/services well, encourage and support them.

  • Your promotional effort: you can drive awareness, invite your network to the marketplace, amplify their offerings, and help them generate sales.

  • Your membership in the co-operative: you engage in the shared goals, abide by the cooperative values (solidarity, mutual support, transparency, fairness).

  • Your growth mindset: you aim to build your pipeline of MSMEs, track performance, replicate successful referrals, and scale your earnings.

What the cooperative (MMakers) commits to you

  • A clear commission structure: How your earnings will be calculated, tracked and paid.

  • Access to the allWomen marketplace infrastructure and digital tools.

  • Training and onboarding support: How to identify MSMEs, how to support them in listing, how to help them sell.

  • Community and peer support: A group of fellow Market Makers sharing strategies, success stories, challenges.

  • Recognition and rewards: As you grow your contributions, there may be higher tiers, bonus incentives, recognition within the co-op.

Why this is an attractive proposition right now

  • The digital marketplace for women-led MSMEs is growing strongly. Platforms like allWomen Africa are focusing on women entrepreneurship and cooperative models.

  • Women entrepreneurs often face barriers in traditional markets and lending; this model enables market access + income generation via referral activity.

  • The cooperative, closed-loop model means the benefits stay within the network — you support women who support other women, which strengthens the ecosystem and enhances trust and engagement.

  • For you personally: relatively low cost of entry (your effort + network) and potentially scalable income via commission.

  • For MSMEs: immediate access to marketplace infrastructure, a community built for them, and the chance to grow via digital sales rather than purely offline channels.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Q: Do I need to be an entrepreneur myself to join?
A: No — you can join as a Market Maker without running an MSME yourself. Your role is as introducer and facilitator of women-led MSMEs.
Q: Is there a membership fee to join MMakers?
A: Specifics (if any) will be provided by the co-op. Many cooperative models might require a small deposit/contribution; confirm via the allWomen group.
Q: How and when is my commission paid?
A: The commission structure will be defined by the co-op and the allWomen platform: for example a percentage of each sale generated by your referred MSME, paid monthly or quarterly.
Q: What support is available to help me succeed?
A: Training, onboarding materials, peer group of Market Makers, marketing tools, and support from the allWomen platform.
Q: What obligations do I have once I introduce an MSME?
A: You should assist the MSME in setting up their listing, help promote their product/service, and stay in touch to maximise their sales (which in turn drives your commission).
Q: Can I introduce MSMEs from outside Zimbabwe?
A: That depends on the geographical scope of allWomen Africa. If the platform allows cross-border listings and sales, then yes. Check with the group for details.
Q: What happens if an MSME fails to make sales?
A: Since your commission depends on sales, you earn only when the MSME generates business. The cooperative model encourages you to support the MSME’s performance and choose viable businesses.
Q: Is this sustainable and ethical?
A: Yes — because it is based on cooperative principles: mutual benefit (you, the MSME, the platform), transparency, shared prosperity, women’s empowerment. The model keeps value within the network of women-led businesses.
