Our GloQueen this Tuesday is Christina Koch, a trailblazing NASA astronaut on a mission to make history!
Born on January 29, 1979, in Grand Rapids, Michigan, Christina's passion for space exploration was sparked early. She fueled her dreams with a dual degree in Electrical Engineering and Physics, plus a Master's in Electrical Engineering from North Carolina State University .
As part of the Artemis II mission, Christina's about to become the FIRST WOMAN to travel to the Moon! Orbiting the Moon alongside astronauts Reid Wiseman, Victor Glover, and Jeremy Hansen, she's breaking barriers and paving the way for future women in space. This 10-day mission will take them farther than any human has gone since the Apollo era, and Christina's leadership will prove the way for future women in space exploration.
A record-breaker in her own right, Christina holds the distinction of longest single spaceflight by a woman (328 days) and participated in the first all-female spacewalk alongside Jessica Meir .
